This year has been a pretty significant one for Timex’s retro watches and collaborations. For instance, the brand recently launched some pilot-inspired Pan Am-themed chronographs. And more recently, the brand reimagined its iconic field watch with help from Worn & Wound.
Having said that, the brand’s best throwback collaboration of the year might just be its most recent. The MM6 Maison Margiela x Timex T80 is about as hyped and trendy as it gets.

The basis of this collaboration is Timex’s T80 โ one of the brand’s most iconic watches, digital or not, dating back to the 1980s. This isn’t a complete reimagining, so the new watch retains much of that timepiece’s hallmarks.
For instance, it has a 34-millimeter case, a large primary display flanked by four pushers for all its integrated functions, a reliable quartz digital movement and an integrated bracelet that matches the case.
What makes this watch special and different, however, is that it has several distinct features. For starters, the whole watch is done in an appropriately vintage all-gold colorway โ the case, bracelet and pushers are all gold-colored.
