The pre-SIHH releases are coming fast and furious. Parmigiani is the latest to give a sneak peek with its new Tonda 1950 Squelette, which is as slim and scantily clad as a Victoria’s Secret model.

In watch parlance, a “beater” is that watch you wear with no fear of damaging it, for rough duty. British brand Schofield has added a so-named watch to its lineup, hand built from bronze, satin steel or a gorgeous blued titanium, all with new old-stock ETA movements inside. Go on, be hard on it.
