Manufactured in 1972 for issue to the Royal British Navy, this rare automatic water-resistant (200 meters) Oyster Perpetual Submariner Rolex is certified by Rolex UK confirming delivery to the British Ministry of Defense in 1975. The case is polished and brushed with a screwed-down case back and crown and engraved with military and serial numbers. A bi-directional revolving black bezel, black face, luminous indexes and hands, rhodium-plating, 26 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, mono-metallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, and hack mechanism round out this 40mm piece of history.
