Though Bell & Ross is best-known for its lineup of chunky, square pilot’s watches, the brand has an incredible cache of vintage-inspired timepieces in its BR V collection. The new BR V2-93 GMT is a great example. It seems to take on the basic look of the brand’s previous GMT, the BR 123, but with lots of added refinements, it seems like a more tempting option.
For starters, the case has been downsized from 42mm to 41mm, and the all-steel bezel has been swapped one with a black adonized aluminum insert. The dial has also been toned down and has been given smaller Arabic numerals coated in white lume and a reduction of text at the six o’clock position. With a starting price of just $3,200 (a steel bracelet will tack on an extra $300), it’s relatively well-priced for a mechanical GMT, especially given the attractive design.
