Jack Mason is an American watch brand established by two friends in Dallas in 2013 whose catalog includes field and dive timepeices powered by both quartz and automatic movements, all of which are relatively affordable. Generally known for its tool watches, Jack Mason is now launching the Canton Day-Date, the first model from its Heritage Collection and a timepiece with more of a formal look.
The Canton comes in both quartz and automatic versions, all of which feature 40mm cases with 20mm lug widths, sapphire crystals and day-date apertures (the automatic version is powered by a Japanese Miyota 820A caliber.) Strap options on quick-release pins include tan or black Italian leather, while bracelet options include a stainless steel, two-tone or 24k gold PVD-plated option. A sapphire crystal and 100m of water resistance complete the package.
A handsome and affordable dress watch, pricing on the quartz model in steel begins at $225 and goes up to $595 for the gold PVD-plated model with matching bracelet.
