Finally, we have a solution to a problem that, while it admittedly only exists amongst a very small subset of clinically insane people, is a problem nonetheless: watch collectors have too many NATO straps and nowhere to store them.
Haveston has thankfully engineered the solution for us, and it’s pretty damn badass. The M-6 Strap Storage Roll is fashioned after WWII-era tool rolls and is made specifically to store watch straps. There’s not much to it — you simply unroll the thing, load it with up to roughly 30 straps (each can be 330mm in length), and roll it back up. Then you head off to Red Bar on Wednesday night to show it off to the only people in the world who won’t think you’re out of your mind.
The M-6 is hand made from unlined 20 oz. cotton canvas dyed in “late war” OD#7 “Olive Drab.” It features large side panels and an extended closure strap for securing the roll, and can be either quick-tied or closed via a ladder buckle.
For $45.35 — less than the cost of a couple of good NATO straps — the M-6 is a no-brainer for watch nerds, and especially, for military watch nerds.
