Following hot on the heels of Audemars Piguet’s skeletonized, ceramic Royal Oak comes another exclusive version. Made for Japanese retailer Yoshida, the new “ROQP” (perpetual calendar = quantième perpétuel in French) has a black dial and platinum case. As if rocking a Royal Oak weren’t enough of a flex, this complicated, platinum version makes for a full-on “f-you” watch.
While platinum might not have the same immediate recognition for onlookers as yellow or pink gold, a case and full bracelet in platinum will remind the wearer of its presence with substantial heft on the wrist. A thin (9.5mm) 41mm-wide case gives it that unbeatable Royal Oak profile, with its famous integrated bracelet. Limited to 20 pieces and available from Yoshida, price is available only on request.
