California-based microbrand Seals has released two new variations of its Model A watch, mixing a military-inspired, industrial concept with some funky, colorful designs. Dubbed the Model A.5, it’s the final group of watches in the collection that debuted the brand on Kickstarter in 2014. With a sturdy steel case said to be based on a tank’s hexagonal bolts, the A.5 enlivens the tool watch’s beefy presence with some unexpected, jazzy touches.
The Model A.5 incorporates a range of new dial elements, from sans-serif Roman numerals to a hexagon-tipped, lollipop-style seconds hand. It comes in two color variants, Acid Green and Burgundy Roulette, each with subtle design variations in addition to the obvious color differences. Featuring a 100m-water-resistant 41mm case, a sapphire crystal and the Miyota 9039 automatic movement, the A.5 has a price of $800 in either color and is available for pre-order now.
