Sometimes, iconic watches can be constrained by their own legendary status. Mess with the formula too much, and the market will cry foul. It’s why we’ll likely never see, say, a Rolex Submariner in an exotic material like ceramic or carbon fiber.
But Doxa is one brand that doesn’t seem too concerned about messing with history. The brand’s Sub 300 is a bona fide icon, likely one of the five most recognizable dive watches ever designed, but Doxa certainly isn’t precious about sticking to any particular formula when it comes to the watch.
The brand has an entire collection devoted to experimental versions of the Sub 300 called the Sub 300β (AKA 300 Beta), and its latest might be the most modern and radical interpretation of the iconic diver we’ve seen yet.

What’s black and white and red all over?
Doxa offers a wide range of dive watches in stainless steel, titanium and carbon fiber, but ceramic is a case material the brand has used only a couple of times, first appearing in 2022 on the Doxa Army Watches of Switzerland Edition and appearing again on the Sub 300β Sharkhunter the following year.
Now, Doxa has turned to the contemporary, highly scratch-resistant material once more for the new Sub 300 Beta Dubai Watch Week 2025, which is a collab with Middle Eastern retailer Ahmed Seddiqi.
