Orient is one of the first names people hear when they catch the automatic watch bug.

At first, it is easy to dismiss the Japanese watchmaker because the prices appear too good to be true. But anyone digging a little deeper will learn that it offers the best value in the entry-level automatic watch tier.

Orient

Orient is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2025, and the shockingly affordable watchmaker is at the top of its game. From sporty 200m dive watches to elegant moonphase dress watches, there is something for everyone.

Orient’s quality and value should come as no surprise when you learn that the brand is owned by Epson, putting it in the same complex corporate family as Seiko. While there is no overlap in design and development staff, there is a shared ethos for offering precision and beauty at a fair price.

The password is “summer2025”

Orient watches are rarely priced over $500 and are often on sale through the brand and authorized dealers like Amazon. But right now, the king of entry-level automatics is offering another 10 percent off every watch in its inventory, even the already discounted models. And there are a lot that are already discounted.

Applying the code “summer2025” in the shopping cart will get you a watch that is on par with the Seiko 5 Sports collection for half the price, or multiple, if you want to splurge.

If you need some suggestions, the Bambino 1 is a perfect dress watch that can be worn every day, with everything.

Here are eight of the best finds in the Orient summer 2025 sale.

The everyday dress watch

Orient Bambino I

Specs

Case Size 40mm
Movement Orient caliber F6724 automatic
Water Resistance 30m

The Bambino I is the watch that built Orient’s reputation during the 2010s’ explosion in watch interest. It has an elegantly simple dial with triangular applied indices and dauphine hands.

The 40mm case size is a bit dated in 2025, but it still complements most wrists and looks smaller than it is. There are several dial color options, but black maximizes the versatility.

A Milanese masterpiece

Orient Bambino Baby Blue

Specs

Case Size 38mm
Movement Orient caliber F6724 automatic with hand-winding
Water Resistance 30m

The special edition Orient Bambino VII with a baby blue dial now comes with a Milanese-style steel mesh bracelet. It has a 38mm stainless steel case and runs on an in-house caliber F6724 automatic movement, which is also hand-winding, has hacking and has a 40-hour power reserve.

Additionally, the beige nubuck suede pin-buckle strap originally paired with the Baby Blue dial is back in stock. Unfortunately, this is the only Bambino offered with a mesh strap at this time.

A GADA dive watch

Orient Kamasu

Specs

Case Size 42mm
Movement Orient caliber F6922 automatic
Water Resistance 200m

The Mako is the Orient’s most popular dive watch, but the Kamasu, which means “barracuda” in Japanese, has a more classic look. It has lume-filled geometric applied indices and an arrowhead hour hand.

With 200m water resistance, the Kamasu actually outperforms the modern Seiko 5 Sports dive watch collection in the water. It also has a similar engine under the hood. So, all things considered, Orient has its cousin beat in the entry dive watch department.

The anniversary model

Orient Bambino IX 75th Anniversary Edition

Orient created a whole suite of watches to celebrate its 75th anniversary, but the most classic option is the Bambino IX, which has a day subdial and moonphase. The dial is accented with heat-blued hands and applied Roman numeral indices.

The standout feature of the dial is the brand logo. For the anniversary collection, Orient brought back its original script logo from the 1950s, but it only appears on six references, including two of the Snoopy collaborations.

Orient x Snoopy 75th Anniversary Bambino

Specs

Case Size 40mm
Movement Orient caliber F6724 automatic
Water Resistance 30m

Peanuts and Orient are both celebrating their respective 75th anniversaries in 2025 with one of the most affordable automatic Snoopy watches ever. The Orient Bambino VII comes in two different dial colors decorated with Orient’s 1950s script logo and a special Snoopy and Woodstock drawing as part of the “Water Resistant” marking.

It is available with a white dial and black leather strap or a cream dial and khaki suede strap. Both references feature the Peanuts 75th Anniversary logo printed on the exhibition case back.

A bold 1970s diver

Orient NEO Classic Sports

Specs

Case Size 43mm
Movement Orient caliber F6922 automatic
Water Resistance 200m

Orient isn’t known for its dive watches. Aside from the Mako, very few of its aquatic tool watches get attention, but there are plenty to choose from.

The NEO Classic Sports is one of the most unique, with a very 1970s dial design. It has a compressor-style internal rotating bezel with a wide dive scale, including an orange 15-minute segment. This diver is the real deal, offering 200m water resistance.

Your heart on your sleeve

Orient Bambino Open Heart

Specs

Case Size 40mm
Movement Orient caliber F6T22 automatic
Water Resistance 30mm

It’s a bold move, making a $455 watch with an open heart dial, but Orient makes mechanical movements worth showing off. The balance wheel and hairspring of the caliber F6T22 automatic movement are displayed at nine o’clock.

Aside from the display window on the dial, this is a Bambino VII, distinguished by narrow, pointed applied indices and dauphine hands that are slimmer than the Bambino I.

A simple sporty beater

Orient Diver

Specs

Case Size 40mm
Movement Orient caliber F6722 automatic
Water Resistance 200m

The Orient Diver is low-key one of the best all-purpose entry-level sports watches. It has specs that are identical to the Kamasu but with a simplified look.

It is the closest thing Orient currently has to a Rolex Datejust alternative and offers a similar timeless styling potential. But the Diver is a little sportier, with an arrow-shaped lume-tipped seconds hand and a rotating dive bezel.
