While it is far from being a household name, watch nerds know that Parmigiani Fleurier is one of the most accomplished horological heavyweights in the game, producing outstanding and beautiful calibres not only for itself but also for some of its ultra-high-end competition.
Much of the attention paid to PF goes toward its dress pieces, as the brand’s aesthetic is about as elegant as it gets. But PF also makes some absolutely killer and underrated sports watches in its Tonda PF Sport line. Yes, they’re ridiculously chic, but they’re also highly capable and rugged.
The sportiest of all is the Tonda PF Sport Chronograph, which might just be the most underrated luxury sports chrono on the market today. It maintains the brand’s signature elegance via a knurled bezel and integrated pushers while maxxing out the sporty vibes with a panda dial and integrated rubber strap.
All references of the Tonda PF Sport Chronograph are quite attractive, but Parmigiani’s latest may be its most striking yet.

Peace in the valley
The Tonda PF Sport Chronograph’s new color is called Silver Verzasca, and it draws inspiration from Switzerland’s Verzasca Valley. The area, which Parmigiani likens to an “Alpine Riviera,” is renowned for the natural beauty of its emerald-hued Verzasca River.
For the watch, PF uses “Verzasca green” to shade the three subdials as well as the minute track, contrasting them in standard panda format against a light silver dial finished with the brand’s trademark micro-engraved Clou triangulaire guilloché pattern.
