Last year, Nike dropped a highly-coveted collaboration with Levi’s that included a trio of denim-covered Air Max 95s: all-black, white/ecru and the classic blue Obsidian. To say these sneakers were hot would be an understatement.

While the black and white options were available via a drawing on Nike’s SNKRS app, the coveted Obsidian was a Levi’s exclusive. Those eyeing the sneakers for weeks ahead of launch were champing at the bit to get a pair. Nevertheless, all three colorways sold out very quickly and, unfortunately, more people were left empty handed than not.
Now, Nike may have a fairly adequate consolation prize for those who missed out on the Obsidian AM95s.

Jeans to an end
The new colorway features several shades of blue, unlike last year’s mostly-indigo scheme. This time around, there’s no connection to Levi’s, which might downplay the hype, but that’s also a good thing for those with slow fingers or even-slower internet connections.
