Time and Tide, the Australian-born watch retailer and editorial, is hosting Founder Fest 2026 on September 19 and 20. Baltic is contributing to the festivities with a new twist on the Hueres du Monde automatic worldtimer watch.
While the original design was geared toward classy leisure or business travel, this special edition has a sportier feel and a durable build, better suited to more adventurous exploration.
Baltic released the Hueres du Monde earlier in 2026, debuting an ingenious horological hack that tuned an automatic GMT complication into a worldtimer.
The GMT hand of a Soprod Caliber C125 automatic is replaced by a translucent disc featuring a GMT-like two-tone 24-hour track printed on its outer rim. It works in conjunction with an arrow printed on the dial at 6:00, and the 24-city track etched and lacquered on the ceramic bezel insert.
For the Horizon Line, Time and Tide’s home city of Melbourne, Australia, was added to the city track. Melbourne, New York and London, the three global cities housing Time and Tide Studios, are distinguished in blue.
In an effort to keep the worldtimer function legible, Baltic omitted a seconds hand and any other complications. There are only sword-style hour and minute hands, filled with blue-emitting Super-LumiNova.
