Gordon Murray Special VehiclesGordon Murray Special Vehicles S1
The S1 is the touring-focused sibling of Gordon Murray’s S1 LM, ditching the large, fixed rear wing, long front splitter and deep side skirts. Every exterior body panel is new. Under the hood, it takes power from a 4.2-liter naturally aspirated Cosworth V12 that develops up to 680 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed manual gearbox. Revised suspension and a shift away from extreme downforce toward mechanical grip promise to make it more comfortable over long distances. Just 64 examples will be built worldwide.
Aston MartinAston Martin Valen
The Valen is Aston Martin’s most powerful front-engined supercar to date, and, if you take the brand’s word for it, the most powerful front-engined production car ever made. The joint product of Q by Aston Martin and Aston Martin’s newly formed Special Vehicle Operations department, it pairs a full carbon-fiber body with a twin-turbocharged 5.2-liter V12 producing 838 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. Just 150 examples will be made, each a bespoke commission. Per Aston Martin, it’ll do 0-60 mph in 3.0 seconds before topping out at 214 mph.
Time & TideFurlan Marri Outback Songlines
One of seven watches from seven independent brands created for Time & Tide’s first Founder’s Fest, the Outback Songlines is an evolution of Furlan Marri’s earlier T&T collab, the Outback Elegy. The watch introduces a new 39mm steel case complete with a fitted three-row steel braceleet, a first for the brand. The dial keeps its chocolate brown color, with a trio of finishes (grained, brushed and lacquered) ensure its appearance is constantly in flux. The most exciting detail, however, is the caseback. It’s a rare hinged officer-style caseback, and opening it reveals a window to the La Joux-Perret G100 automatic movement and its 68-hour power reserve. Like the other Founder’s Fest releases, the watch will only be available during a 24-hour window in September. Register your interest at the Founder’s Fest site to get notified when it’s time to buy.
