Editor’s note: It has been brought to my attention that the comments section of this project is full of notes from backers upset that the updates stopped and they never received any product. I reached out to the creator for a response and nearly 48 hours later, I have not received one. While the campaign has ended, I would advise steering clear of any future projects from this creator. When it comes to multi-tools, it’s easy to get caught up in the purely utilitarian qualities.

How big is it? What’s it made of? How many functions does it offer?

While those traits are all very important, there’s something to be said for style.

When merely pulling your EDC standby out of a pocket and putting it into action brings you joy, that represents its own kind of value.

You can spin the MultiKit’s bit-housing chamber, Russian roulette style. A little silly? Maybe. Insanely fidget-friendly? Definitely.

Made of light, tough Grade-5 titanium, the MultiKit boasts a few handy features, but one stands out above the rest.

That would be its screwdriving function, where the majority of this CNC-machined beauty’s style points are scored.

See, the six magnetic S2 alloy steel bits (including one flat and two Phillips heads, plus a hex, a torx and an unusual two-pronged option) reside in a revolver-like chamber.

They are easy enough to pull out and insert into the top of the tool, which has a long handle for user-friendly screwdriving.

But what’s simultaneously less functional and more fun is that you can spin this chamber, Russian roulette style, in a way that looks super haptically satisfying.

Funky features

While this admittedly ostentatious dimension does attract the most attention, it’s not the only function.

The MultiKit also houses a slide-deploying utility blade you will likely use daily. It’s removable and replaceable, meaning you can ditch it to make the tool more TSA-friendly.

ti-spin multikit options — In contrast to the overall elegance of the tool, having to manually swap out the heads is an awkward hassle that can hopefully be improved with the next generation.

The bit-housing head can also be removed and replaced with a much smaller one featuring a bottle opener and a glass breaker.

I’ll be the first to say this is rather clunky. You need to remove two screws to make this swap to a head featuring one function you will probably use all the time and one you may never use.

But hey, did I mention the cool spinny thing??
