In 2019, Terrain 365 made its debut. The brand’s first product? The Invictus-AT folding knife. For the six years since, the formidable Invictus line has been a core part of the hardcore knifemaking brand’s offerings and a fan favorite.

Now, the brand and that knife line turn another page in their story together with the Terrain 365 Invictus-ATBSP. This might be the most refined expression of the Invictus line yet, all without sacrificing any of its legendary resilience and durability.

Harder, better, faster, stronger

The Invictus-ATBSP’s overall styling remains true to the line. The signature silhouette and sizing are intact.

For reference, the knife is 8.125 inches overall with a 3.5-inch blade. However, there are also some significant changes. The handle style, for instance, is more in line with the Invictus-ATB than the original Invictus-AT, boasting 2/3-length scales with an integrated bolster construction.

Most of what makes the knife so formidable remains, like its Terravantium blade and burly frame lock.

What you might not be able to see is that this take borrows some inspiration from the brand’s SP model. That means this version is much slimmer and lighter, weighing just 3.7 ounces (compared to the ATB and AT’s 4.4-ounce weight).

But here’s the real kicker: those changes to its weight and girth come without compromises elsewhere; you’ll get the benefits of the refinement without sacrifice. The construction is as rock-solid as ever, and the materials are absolutely stellar.

Guaranteed rustproof for life

The Invictus-ATBSP is offered in four configurations — three that differ only in their colors, alongside one with a slightly more expensive material swap.

For all four, the base of the handle is made from tough, lightweight titanium (which is naturally rustproof). That includes its formidable frame lock. They also all come with a ceramic ball bearing pivot for smooth, quick deployment.

Their deployment mechanism is ambidextrous, comprised of a pair of thumbstuds and a fuller on the blade. Furthermore, the thumb studs have glow-in-the-dark cabochons for a bit of low-light flair.

But the most important part of this knife is probably its blade steel. Like the brand’s other offerings, it’s crafted from proprietary Terravantium, a steel so corrosionproof that it’s literally guaranteed for life.

Editor’s Note: The brand recommends a “fresh water rinse after any immersion in salt water to flush out salt and minerals to keep the action smooth and clean.”

Four folding knives with water droplets on their blades and handles are arranged in a row. Each knife has a gray blade and a handle with a different color section: light gray, olive green, black, and bright orange. The knives are placed on a dark, textured surface with various cables and equipment around them.
This launch includes three knives with G10 scales and one with carbon fiber scales.
