SuntoryHibiki 30 Years Old Artist Collaboration with Hiroshi Senju
When it comes to whisky, Suntory is no stranger to rare, sought-after expressions. But the brand’s latest, a 30-year-old spirit crafted in collaboration with artist Hirposhi Senju, is among its finest (at least in recent months). It’s encased in a traditional byōbu-style display with multi-panel screens, and it comes with a reflective base, an etched Hibiki emblem, and a waterfall wrap at the neck of the crystal bottle. And that’s to say nothing of the exceptional Mizunara oak-aged elixir within, which boasts rich notes of cinnamon, brown sugar, dried fig, gingerbread and apricot jam. Even at its high price, it’s sure to be a bottle that’s hard to get.
AssoulineAir Jordan Classic Coffee Table Book
Assouline gives the world’s most iconic sneaker the book it deserves. The 360-page volume contains 438 images and a forward written by His Airness, Mr. Michael Jordan. It details the entire 40-year history of Nike’s Air Jordan sneaker line and the industry that has spawned around it, as well as covering highlights from Jordan’s unparalleled career. The Classic version is a hardcover measuring 10 inches wide by 13 inches tall, and there is a $2,300 Ultimate edition that comes in an embossed leather case with a set of Air Jordan-branded merchandise.
Oscar Japan Co.Oscar Japan Co. Mobile Boy
This retro Game Boy dupe comes pre-loaded with 300 vintage games, making it a pretty exceptional handheld console, especially for those with a love for old-school gaming. However, that isn’t even the best part about it. Along with being a fully functional standalone handheld, it’s also a 5,000 mAh MagSafe battery pack, meaning you can stick it to the back of your iPhone to add some extra juice. But here’s the real kicker: you can still play the games while it’s charging.
KÜHLKÜHL Defiant Series
Salt Lake City-based outdoor gear stalwart KÜHL schusses into a new frontier with design input from free ski legend Glen Plake, resulting in high-performance men’s and women’s snow sports kits promising the brand’s trademark trio of technical materials, toughness and fit. The Defiant Shell boasts 20K/20K breathable, waterproof protection and stretch plus a sculpted hood with reinforced brim and glove-friendly pit zips for dumping heat. The Defiant Bib features similar fabric, a comfort-boosting, parachute-inspired suspender system and large inner and outer thigh vents to help you stay cool during uphill missions in the backcountry.
SamsungSamsung Galaxy XR
Samsung and Google teamed up to create the Galaxy XR, a mixed reality headset that is designed to work similarly to Apple’s Vision Pro, but be significantly lighter and more affordable — in fact, starting at $1800, it’s almost half the price. The headset features 4K micro-OLED screens, a number of high-resolution cameras for face and eye tracking, and runs on the Android XR platform, which was developed by both brands. And, just like the Vision Pro, the headset can be used to navigate the real world (with its integration with Google Maps), watch movies and shows, experience live sporting events from afar, and capture and experience immersive spatial photos and videos.
