KEF’s Entry-Level Bookshelf Speakers Are Suddenly More Affordable

The famed British audio maker is discounting both of its entry-level bookshelf speakers … by a lot.

Right now, KEF is running a pretty awesome sale on its newest entry-level Q Series bookshelf speakers — both the Q1 Meta and the Q Concerto Meta are several hundred dollars off.

So, if building a traditional hi-fi system or looking for a great pair of passive speakers for your streaming amplifier to drive, this is a great place to start.

KEF Q1 Meta

The KEF Q1 Meta are the brand’s current entry-level bookshelf speakers. Released in September 2024, they are newer versions of the brand’s 2017-released Q1.

While looking quite similar, the Q1 Meta has been upgraded with KEF’s latest-generation Uni-Q driver with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), which is the same driver-and-tech combo used in its higher-end R Series Meta range and popular LS50 Meta hi-fi speakers.

Normally $700, KEF has dropped the price of these bookshelf speakers by $300 for the holidays. They’re available in three finishes: satin black, satin white or walnut.

KEF Q Concerto Meta

Also released in September 2024, KEF’s Q Concerto Meta can be considered the “next step up.” They’re still entry-level bookshelf speakers, but they have a three-way design, adding a dedicated midrange driver to help deliver a more balanced and detailed sound.

Fun fact: the Q Concerto Meta gets its name from the brand’s 1969-released Concerto loudspeakers, which were KEF’s first bookshelf speakers to have a three-way design.

Normally $1,400, you can snag a pair for $1,000 right now. The speakers are available in the same three finishes: satin black, satin white, and walnut.

How long will the sale run?

The deal runs now through January 3rd, so you don’t have to press the purchase right away… but if you’re in the market, start thinking about it.

Additionally, if you’re in the market for higher-end bookshelf speakers, floorstanding speakers, or various home theater speakers … KEF is discounting many of those as part of its “Holiday Savings Event” as well.
