Luminox’s Latest Ultra-Rugged Watch Is Built to Perform in Iceland’s Harshest Conditions

Luminox has long had a partnership with Icelandic Search and Rescue teams, and that’s slated to continue with this collection of ultra-tough timepieces. Designed to commemorate the year 874 AD, when the first settlers arrived in Iceland, the watches feature reliable Swiss-made Quartz movements, ultralight and ultra-tough Carbonox cases, 25-year lume (including the ICE-SAR logo on the dial) and much more.

Breitling unveils a special version of its tourbillon-equipped Premier Chronograph with a solid 18k red gold case that’s exclusive to the American and Canadian markets. In addition to the precious metal case, the dial color is also new: a deep blue gradient with a matching 60-minute chronograph register at 6:00. At 12:00 sits the tourbillon and its 18k red gold bridge, while a matching rotor is visible through the sapphire caseback. The piece is limited to just 75 examples, priced fittingly at $75,000.

The Movingstyle is a 27-inch touchscreen display with a rollable stand, making it essentially a portable TV you can position anywhere in your home. The stand also features a swiveling arm that lets you position the screen in landscape or portrait mode. Additionally, you can take the display off the stand and use it as a tablet. It can work when constantly connected to power, but it also has a 3-hour battery life for the times when you don’t want to worry where to plug in the power cord.

Taylor Stitch recreates a classic fisherman’s sweater, which originated in the ports of England, Scotland, and Ireland, and made its way to New England in the 1800s, remaining a cold-weather staple ever since. This modern update features a blend of 30% nylon added to the wool and alpaca, which softens the feel of the seater while retaining its shape. It has a ribbed waist and cuffs, along with a rolled edge on the ribbed mock neck. The oatmeal donegal color is as classic as it gets.
