You asked, Hoka answered.

As expected, the brand will use 2026 as an opportunity to revisit its legendary Speedgoat franchise that debuted more than a decade ago.

Fortunately, it appears to have fixed the chief issue with the last update: a midsole that arrived firmer than most runners have come to expect from a shoe with Hoka emblazoned across the upper.

The Speedgoat 7 is the first shoe in Hoka’s legendary franchise to feature a supercritical midsole.

That’s because the all-new Speedgoat 7 utilizes a supercritical midsole infused with gas to create tiny bubbles, as found in today’s breed of top super shoes.

The result? A lighter, softer, more responsive shoe than its predecessor, with the addition of a new heel collar and gaiter integration for improved comfort on the trail.

Of course, the previous Speedgoat had plenty of redeeming qualities, the best of which make the jump into the upcoming model.

The Speedgoat 7 features a lightweight, highly breathable upper and Vibram Megagrip outsole equipped with 5mm lugs for tackling demanding terrain.
