14 New Pocket Knives, Multi-Tools and EDC Items You Might Have Missed

This might be the most uniquely-deploying EDC utility knife ever made. Crafted from solid titanium, it doesn’t unfold, so much as it extends — similar to CRKT’s famous Provoke morphing karambit. That deployment is also especially fidget-friendly. But it’s not all this knife has going for it. It also has a replaceable razor blade, an integrated carabiner and pry bar functionality.

The Fenrir might be the finest knife Kansept has launched in roughly half a decade of existence. This treatment ups the ante via a frame lock and a “Micro-Milled Water Ripple Texture” handle made of anodized titanium. The five variants with this nameplate retain the distinctive 3.48-inch harpoon-style blade — available in either premium CPM-S35VN or mesmerizing Damascus steel.

The Bestech Noctar marks another stellar collaboration with designer Grzegorz Grabarski — a match made in EDC heaven. And again, this knife is shockingly well-featured for something so wildly inexpensive. The knife boasts a 3.71-inch 14C28N steel blade with a beautiful grind and large thumb hole deployment. It also has a G-10 handle (in your choice of eight different colors) with a crossbar lock and reversible pocket clip. And that means the whole thing is ambidextrous.

Designed by Ostap Hel, a master knifesmith, the Aion is a staple of Oknife’s catalog. Slender and sleek, the brand’s take on a gentleman’s knife sees some significant upgrades to its materials in this edition. Instead of an aluminum handle, it is now titanium. And the drop-point blade gets a material swap for Böhler M390 super steel. It retains its flipper deployment, liner lock and 8.19-inch total length.

GiantMouse’s ACE REO is among the brand’s most iconic and best-selling knives. Inspired by REO Motor Car Company — the same defunct Michigan company that inspired REO Speedwagon — this knife is a sleek, design-focused cutting tool that looks as good as it functions. And it gets major bonus points for this new black and brass colorway. It also has a MagnaCut steel blade, PVD titanium handle, reversible pocket clip and integrated frame lock. Note: this knife drops January 13 at noon EST and will likely sell out fast.

Created by veteran designer Carson Huang, the Griffin has always had a great-looking silhouette. But this premium new edition upgrades the knife steel to corrosion-resistant, edge-retaining Vanax Superclean super steel, while the handle is now rendered in tough titanium, complete with a deep, grip-boosting texture. Happily, it retains the button lock, safety toggle and Griffin Eye opening hole that make previous iterations so appealing. 

To kick off the new year, Knafs has launched its Yuti Kickstarter campaign, which achieved full funding status in just 17 minutes. That might seem surprising until you consider just how useful this knife actually is. It has a G-10 handle with a crossbar lock and reversible pocket clip on one side. But the other side sports a utility knife housing, instead of a traditional blade. That makes it easily replaceable (it uses a simple wheel to swap blades), travel-friendly and usable in both EDC and work site contexts.

This slim rectangular box looks unassuming until you slide one side up with your thumb, deploying the razor blade. A slight downward pull brings it swiftly and smoothly back into its casing, with an equally satisfying click. Measuring 2.74 inches, the fidget-friendly item also features a removable pocket clip, a keychain/lanyard hole and a tritium slot to help you locate it in low light.

Last year (2025), Böker dropped a stunning EDC knife made using genuine meteorite ore in its Damascus blade. Now, the brand has brought back that same knife with an even more high-end twist. Not only does this edition have the same overall high-end build, but the blade now gets a platinum coating, elevating the knife to new heights and giving it a more bright, vibrant appearance. Of course, it also still has a meteorite-inspired titanium handle with precision machining and a frame lock.

The latest silhouette from South African designer Johan Jordaan offers loads of outdoor EDC value for less than $70. Highlights include a versatile leaf-shaped 3.13-inch blade made of reliable Nitro V steel, an ergonomically shaped, micro-milled aluminum handle and swift deployment via a thumb slot or the crossbar lock that also enables smooth one-handed retraction. In addition to the knife shown here, the Heron is available in several other treatments, including three with G10 handles and one with a Damascus steel blade.

Designed by Sal Glesser and named after a legendary American bucking bull, the Bodacious was already a formidable knife boasting a stout 3.63-inch blade and ergonomic handle with a Compression lock. However, this edition takes the materials up a notch, swapping the blade’s S30V for beefier S90V and changing out the G-10 handle scales for carbon fiber. However, it’s a limited run, so get it while you can.

Thanks to 3.38-inch drop-point blades, crossbar locks and glass-reinforced nylon handles, three variants of the Counterpart invite comparisons to Benchmade’s iconic Bugout. Budget-friendly 12C27 steel and the lack of thumb studs contribute to the biggest difference — a price well under half the Bugout’s base of $200. Note: a blacked-out fourth variant differs sharply thanks to a 3.31-inch tanto-shaped blade made of D2 steel.

Inspired by the art of H.R. Geiger (and named after the creatures from the Alien franchise), Vosteed’s Xeno is a front-runner for the brand’s most impressive release of the year. This is the first-ever Vosteed knife to feature a Vanax blade, which offers is unmatched corrosion proofing, as well as exceptional performance. It also has a biomechanical titanium handle that has been vacuum finished and the brand’s signature Vanchor pivot lock.

With a moniker drawn from a legendary Japanese mythological serpent and a Princeton Wong design derived from his 2024 Blade Show Texas “Best Machine-Assisted Custom Knife” award winner, the Orochi overflows with pedigree. Its appeal is boosted by a 3.55-inch clip-point recurve blade made of Damascus steel, a titanium handle and a semi-secret flipper tab for snappy deployment around the IKBS ball bearing pivot. Note: if this Orochi feels a bit rich for your blood, CRKT also offers a lower-spec liner lock version for just over half the price.
