Combining hyper-minimalist design and top-tier functionality into one jacket may sound like a tall order, but when it comes to Arc’teryx, that’s the standard, not the exception.

The popular outdoor brand’s Alpha SV was already a premium alpine jacket, and thanks to a slew of thoughtful updates, it’s more capable (yet just as streamlined) than ever.

Balancing act

Arc’teryx’s most capable alpine and climbing jacket, the Alpha SV Revised boasts maximum durability and weatherproofing, designed to withstand the harshest conditions, ascents and exposure.

These include the new 100D Gore-Tex Pro ePE membrane technology, which is lighter and thinner than previous iterations while maintaining the same strength and durability as before.

Meanwhile, internal storage options have been expanded to better accommodate gear and accessories, including two new dump pockets constructed to hold gloves or a beanie, plus a new security pocket to keep small essentials contained.

Finally, a low-profile RECCO reflector has been hidden in the hood brim to improve search-ability in emergency situations.
