In late 2024, Vosteed launched its Parallel — one of the thinnest locking EDC knives ever made. Over the next year, 2025, the brand unveiled several noteworthy iterations of that concept.

It was one of the brand’s most significant innovations and proved to be hugely popular.

Now, the brand has returned to that ultra-thin ethos and evolved it with an interpretation of its flagship EDC knife, called the Vosteed Raccoon TiSlim. And it could be an early contender for the best EDC knife of the year.

No trash panda, here

This new knife does share some elements in common with its predecessor, the Parallel. And lucky for us, those returning elements are all spectacular.

That starts with its handle. Like the Parallel before it, this knife is incredibly slim thanks to its handle design. Without the pocket clip, the knife is as thin as three pennies — yes, really.

However, since those scales are crafted from solid titanium, they’re still incredibly strong and stable. They’re also exceptionally lightweight, allowing the knife to weigh just 2.69 ounces — pretty low for a full-sized knife (7.55 inches).

That thinness is also managed, in part, by the fact that the knife has a super-slender crossbar locking mechanism, which keeps the blade securely open when active, operates ambidextrously and offers a bit of fidget-friendliness.

Most versions of the Raccoon TiSlim have 154CM steel, but there’s also a high-end version with S35VN.

Slender slicer

The slim titanium handle, while a major highlight, is far from the only thing the Raccoon TiSlim has going for it.

For instance, while the Parallel before it was a pretty solid knife, the Raccoon TiSlim has a much more EDC-friendly silhouette. In fact, it’s the same balanced, ergonomic silhouette as the standard Raccoon, Vosteed’s flagship knife.

That includes a finger cutout for a sturdy grip; a lanyard hole at the tail; a low-profile, reversible pocket clip (also titanium); thumb studs and, perhaps most crucially, a versatile drop-point blade.

Across the Raccoon TiSlim’s six configurations, five of them feature 154CM steel for the blade, but there’s a special high-end version (complete with an acid-wash textured handle) that comes with S35VN (for an upcharge).

If this is Vosteed’s first big release of the year, it bodes well for what the rest of the launch calendar holds, as the brand is incredibly prolific and always has a rich slate of releases.
