Adidas Reinvents Another Classic Archival Sneaker Style

Adidas is reimagining the Handball Spezial as a modern slip-on style, merging the sporty DNA of the archival shoe with the dress-coded aesthetic of a traditional loafer. The Adidas Handball Spezial Loafer, debuting on Adidas Japan’s website on February 6th, will be available in three colorways: “Magic Beige”, “Wonder White” and Black. All three colors will be designed with a premium suede upper and leather accents on the Three Stripes. Finally, a Spezial badge on the side signifies the refined nature of the release.

Twelve South’s PowerCapsule is a magnetic wireless battery pack that brings Qi2 charging and a USB-C port for wired charging. Accordingly, along with a MagSafe-compatible magnetic attachment, it offers the option of two different capacities — 5,000mAh and 10,000mAh — as well as pass-through charging for convenient top-ups while you’re charging the PowerCapsule. Made with a satin-finished zinc alloy frame, it touts a cactus-based synthetic inlay for extra grip.

The Macallan continues its partnership with James Bond with this 18-year-old single malt created in tribute to the 55th anniversary of Sean Connery’s final official performance as 007, Diamonds Are Forever. In addition to the typical sherry-seasoned casks, the new whisky’s aging process employs American oak casks that previously held red wine. This was done as a nod to a scene in the film where Bond puts his encyclopedic knowledge of wine to use to expose a bad guy. The scotch has notes of oak and vanilla and a finish rich with cocoa-dusted champagne truffles and dark berries.

Maserati just introduced a new trim for the Grecale SUV. It’s called the Modena V6, and it joins the lineup as another option to diversify the Grecale range. Before the Modena V6, the standard Grecale was only available with a 325-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder. The only way to get the punchier V6 was to opt for the top-spec Trofeo with its 523 hp. Now, the Modena V6 bridges the gap between the two with a 385 hp V6. While its performance is almost identical to the turbo-four, the new Modena V6 offers a more engaging experience and a better soundtrack, for those who don’t want the sound of angry wasps emanating from under the hood.
