Lanzante McLaren F1 Carbon-Ceramic Brakes

While the ever-iconic McLaren F1 was designed with carbon-ceramic brakes from the outset, only the race-focused GTRs ever received such an upgrade. With this in mind, Lanzante has drawn upon its experience working with F1 GTRs to craft the world’s first set of carbon-ceramic brakes for road-going F1s. By swapping out both the discs and the pads, the company claims it’s shaved more than 26 pounds of weight, while also making for improved stopping power. The best part of all, though, is that, because the discs are the same size, the caliper and wheels remain. compatible.

Bentley Bentayga Something Blue Collection by Mulliner

Bentley’s in-house customization firm, Mulliner, just revealed 10 very special edition variants of the Bentayga SUV called the Something Blue Collection. Designed all to honor successful women and femininity in Japan, the special Bentaygas feature a bespoke pearlescent blue-white metallic “Ice” exterior, matching colored brake calipers, and 22-inch multi-spoke wheels. The interior receives similar treatment with Linen and Graphite Grey premium leather and blue contrast stitching, and special numbered interior plaques. And it all takes inspiration from a Victorian-era rhyme known as “Something Four,” which was a Western-themed wedding tradition, rooted in Japan where newly-wedded brides wear “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue” all for good fortune.
