It wasn’t until the mid-2000s that reusable water bottles evolved from specialized outdoor gear into a daily accessory.

Choosing one can feel surprisingly personal, but the bottles themselves rarely are. Most still come in a handful of fixed sizes with little room for customization.

That’s starting to change, thanks to a legacy outdoor brand applying its systems-driven approach to durable, good-looking gear.

Sip and switch

Dometic, best known for its rugged coolers, is introducing a new era of drinkware designed to move with you, whether you’re heading out on a camping trip or commuting to the office.

The brand’s new modular system offers a whopping 408 unique combinations, thanks to adaptable lids, durable handles and modular collars, that can be switched up and customized for endless on-the-go hydration options.

This collection brings the same systems-driven approach the brand applied to its Recon coolers and in doing so rethinks the water bottle as we know it.

The lineup includes multiple bottle types, including compact tumblers, everyday carry bottles and massive chug vessels designed for maximizing hydration on the go.

Key ingredients include durable (90 percent recycled) 304 stainless steel bodies and copper liners that reflect back in, locking in temperatures longer, especially for hot drinks.

Each bottle is designed to work with the chug, sip and swig lids, while a unique flow-control insert in the removable collars makes sipping on the go a breeze.

The BPA-free lids use molded-in magnets to stay open and out of your face while sipping, while integrated metal pins add durability.

Integrated non-slip coasters and internal measurements complete the utility-driven package.

The range is debuting in a color palette inspired by the outdoors, including Glow, Lichen, Ocean, Silt and Slate options. Additional colors are expected later in 2026.

First impressions

I’ve been using the system for over a month, actively mixing and matching the various lid types and bottle sizes. The Tumbler 350, which holds 12 ounces, has become my go-to morning coffee pick.

I like to use it with the Swig Lid to control my sips, since I drink my coffee hot.

The Tumbler 650, paired with the integrated sip-straw lid and carry strap, has been great for days when I want something that fits in a cupholder without worrying about spills.

Like the rest of Dometic’s sleek catalog, this modular drinkware system delivers far more functionality than the average water bottle. And it won’t break the bank; so far, none of the options go above $50.

Availability and pricing

The Drinkware System is out now on Dometic’s website, ranging in price from $25-$40.
