A decade ago, if you wanted to buy a big-screen TV (basically anything over 65 inches), you’d expect to pay at least $5,000. If you were shopping at the more premium end of the market, that price could go well higher.
Fast forward to the present, and 65-inch TVs have become the standard. 75-inch TVs have become widely popular, too. And naturally, the price of these big-screen TVs has gone way, way down.
Depending on the make and model, you can expect to spend between $600 and $1,200 on most 65-inch TVs today. For a larger 75-inch TV, you can expect to spend between $800 and $1,500 on a similar model.
That said, if you know where to look (and when to shop), you can get a significantly better deal on a big-screen TV. In fact, the deal might seem too good to be true … but it’s not.

Take TCL’s Q77K series as an example. Released in 2025, it’s one of the brand’s most entry-level smart TVs, but it’s packed with features that most modern TV shoppers want.
The 4K QLED TV features a high contrast HVA panel, packs a 144Hz refresh rate, and supports most of today’s popular HDR technologies (including HDR PRO+ Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG).
