SpecializedSpecialized Epic 9
The latest evolutionary stage of cross-country MTBs rolls up in the form of the lightest full-squish XC race bike ever, thanks to a frame that tips the scales at just 3.5 pounds, a figure roughly equivalent to the weight of a three-month-old kitten. That distinguished descriptor is matched by other credible Specialized hype, including most capable and most efficient, courtesy of a low-friction suspension system (packing a pitch-perfect 120mm of front and rear travel) and optimized geometry, kinematics, chassis behavior and damping. Of course, it all points toward potentially the sweetest superlative of all: fastest. Note: the price listed below is for the frameset only; the full build costs more than twice that number.
FordFord Mustang Cobra Jet 2200
Following the shocking efforts of other electrified Mustang demonstrators, Ford created an even more potent version called the Cobra Jet 2200. As the name suggests, it makes a mammoth 2,200 horsepower from its pair of electric motors. Moreover, the move from four motors to two means that it weighs less than past versions of Ford’s battery-powered drag pony while also bringing a shorter charging time. Having set a blistering 6.87-second quarter-mile with a trap speed of 221 mph, it’s a Mustang that earned its keep as the quickest EV in the world.
HuckberryVagabond Home Hatched Glass Double Old-Fashioned
You don’t see it much anymore, but this is how barware was produced a century ago, when glasses were built to last. The pewter base adds stability, protects the glass and helps keep the contents cool. A hatched pattern on the glass creates an intriguing look and enhances the grip. Above all, it just looks cooler than modern glassware, especially with the engraving on the base.
DJIDJI Mic Mini 2
A year and a half after DJI introduced the original Mic Mini, which was released in late 2024, the company has come out with its successor. And it hasn’t messed with success too much. The Mic Mini 2 is the same compact wireless mic system as before, consisting of a receiver and a mic, but it adds a few new features, most notably colorful magnetic mic covers. So, basically, they’re more stylish and customizable. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like a US release is coming anytime soon.
Audi USA2027 Audi Q4 e-tron
Audi just rolled out its newly updated affordable all-electric crossover, the Q4 e-tron. Introduced in 2021, the model just turned five years old, making it due for a midcycle refresh. And that’s what the Ingolstadt-based automaker just did. In addition to the usual suite of exterior aesthetic upgrades, the biggest changes occur on the inside. Audi’s engineers swapped out some physical controls and buttons and integrated them in the car’s new screen-heavy infotainment and control interfaces. The front passenger now gets its own touch display, while revisions to the drive system in a slight boost in driving range on the various power trims (18 additional miles on the base model for a total of just under 290; up to 366 with the more powerful versions). There’s also faster charging, up to 185 kilowatts versus the previous model’s 175 kW. The Q4 e-tron will be rolling out in Germany in the coming months with the US version arriving later down the line.
