J.Crew has certainly seen its fair share of ups and downs, but one garment remains a steady force of the brand’s catalog.

First released in 1988, the Rollneck sweater continues to be a mainstay in its mission to bring East Coast prep to the masses.

Headlining J.Crew’s new arrivals, the Summer Rollneck is a new take on the iconic sweater, sharing the same DNA as its predecessor but in slightly lighter weight.

That means it carries the same raglan sleeves, relaxed fit and fisherman-inspired ribbed stitch as the 1988 Rollneck, just remixed for extra breathability for spring and summer.

The J.Crew Summer Rollneck is available now in three launch colorways, “Darkest Indigo Navy,” “Ivory” and “Dogwood Red.”
