Established in 1862 and located on Decatur street in New Orleans’ famous French Quarter neighborhood, Cafe Du Monde is a mainstay and tourist stop for anyone in or around the Big Easy craving a delicious taste of their world-renowned beignets. They’re open 24/7, and it’s safe to say with three-piece beignet orders rolling in from the 400-ish people all day long, they’ve mastered the art of serving the masses. We grabbed a few minutes with Chef Wilbert Joseph to learn how they are made and how they turn out thousands of these delicious French doughnuts daily.
