Released in 2023, the Motion Foundation B1 is the most entry-level bookshelf speaker that MartinLogan makes. It’s a 2-way passive bookshelf loudspeaker that pairs the brand’s second-gen Obsidian FMT S tweeter with a 5.5-inch mid-bass driver.

The B1 is the smaller of the two bookshelf speakers in the Motion Foundation range, standing just over 13.5 inches tall. The speaker is available in three different finishes: walnut/bronze, black/gunmetal or white/silver.

The B2 is the larger of the two bookshelf speakers in the brand’s entry-level Motion Foundation range. It stands just over 15 inches tall and pairs the same second-gen Obsidian FMT S tweeter with a 6.5-inch mid-bass driver.

The speaker has the same amplifier requirements as its smaller sibling, the B1, but promises to deliver a slightly more nuanced sound with punchier bass. It comes in the same three finishes.

The Motion B10 is the one-and-only bookshelf speaker in the company’s Motion range. Released in 2023, it’s a compact speaker that’s similar in size to the smaller B1 in the Motion Foundation range, but features an upgraded drivers, with the standout being 5.5-inch oven Fiberglass cone mid-bass driver.

Naturally, the Motion B10 is a higher-end speaker than the Motion Foundation models, as it requires more demanding amplification. But it promises to deliver surprisingly big sound for such a compact speaker.

MartinLogan also offers the Motion B10 in three slightly different, elevated finishes: walnut/black, black/silver and satin white.
