Victrola’s Soundstage Turns an Entry-Level Turntable Into a Compact Vinyl Hi-Fi System

The speaker solves a common problem with all-in-one turntables. And it doesn’t take up much space.

Victrola is well known for its budget-friendly turntables, many of which are actually all-in-one turntables that have built-in speakers. While this makes listening to vinyl super easy, it’s generally frowned upon by hi-fi enthusiasts because, well, it doesn’t sound great.

But over the last year or so, Victrola has gotten into more serious hi-fi systems. Its range of Stream turntables, which are among the few Sonos-compatible turntables on the market, don’t have a built-in speaker and can cost between $800 to $1,500 depending on the model.

And now, the company has released a specialty speaker that’s specifically designed and engineered to sit underneath your turntable. This way, it creates a vinyl hi-fi system that doesn’t take up much space.

The Soundstage is kind of like of soundbase for your turntable. It has a matching footprint, so it doesn’t take up more space. And it is a special vibration-isolated cabinet, so when playing, it does not shake and disrupt the turntable’s playback.

For those in the know, this category of “turntable soundbase” has been well established by Andover Audio, which also makes some really high-end all-in-one turntables.

A soundbase for your turntable

The Soundstage achieves its vibration-resistant design in part by using a down-firing Symmetric Drive Woofer (SDW). According to the brand, the driver “uses a dual-diaphragm design to produce bass while canceling unwanted vibration.” It also features rear-facing ports that direct low frequencies away from the turntable.

Additionally, the speaker has front-facing radiators that handle the mid- and high-frequencies, and help it deliver a wide stereo sound.

The Soundstage is designed to sit beneath most turntables. However, it doesn’t have a built-in phono stage, meaning you’ll need to have a turntable to already have one integrated (or to use an external phono preamp, but that’ll take up a little more space).

As seen in the photos, Victrola has specially designed the Soundstage to sit under (and match) its Wave turntable, which costs $500.

As you’d expect from a modern speaker, the Soundstage can also be used as a standalone wireless speaker. No turntable required. It has built-in Bluetooth (with support for Auracast), so you can use to stream music when you’re not listening to vinyl.

It also has 3.5mm and USB-C line-in connections, for additional wired sources.

Price and availability

Victrola announced the Soundstage speaker earlier this year at CES 2026. However, it’s only just become available.

It comes in two finishes: black or walnut. And costs $330.

If you bundle the Soundstage with Victrola’s Wave turntable, you can save $100.
