Reveals, New Launches and Gear
Catalyst Waterproof Apple Watch Case
Catalyst’s latest is a line of IP-68 waterproof, MIL-SPEC 810G shockproof Apple Watch cases. The first-ever waterproof Apple Watch case will likely set off an onslaught of Apple Watch accessories of varying utility from multiple brands — but credit where credit’s due: if, as the manufacturer claims, the case leaves all the watch’s functions intact (heart rate sensors, charging dock, touchscreen, microphone and speaker), the result could very well make the Apple Watch a useful purchase for rangers, fisherman and plenty of other workers out in the wild. With a depth rating of 16.4 feet (as of most recent testing), it’s unlikely to replace a dive watch, but paired with the case’s salt-corrosion resistance, it’s enough to let you feel secure in taking your wrist-borne supercomputer out to sea. It’s also reasonably sleek.
Mammut MTR 201-II Boa® Low
Fresh from Outdoor Retailer, Mammut’s latest includes a fine-tunable closure system and EVA-rivaling shock absorption primed for alpine running.
Moji Foot Pro
No matter how cushioned your shoe might be, massaging an overworked foot is essential to avoid injury. The Moji Foot Pro does this with six stainless steel spheres — because pampering an overworked foot is even better.
Fluance Fi50 Hi-Fi Bluetooth Speaker
Natural and handmade components are the way to go with speaker design, and the Fluance Fi50’s MDF wood cabinet is a good example that suppresses resonance for clearer sound — pretty rare in a Bluetooth speaker.
Hudson Valley Hard Goods Guitar Stands
If you’re more concerned with making music than listening to it, the same rule applies — see Hudson Valley Hard Goods’ minimalist wooden guitar stands, for example.
$15 a month for a monthly, rotating supply of designer fragrances for men — it’s the perfect situation to (finally) figure out what scent best suits you.
