Zenith Pilot Type 20 Chronograph Extra Special
In the early days of aviation, Zenith distinguished itself as one of the first watchmakers to supply pilots with watches and onboard instruments. Its Pilot family is built upon that tradition, with plenty of vintage-inspired pieces that evoke this flying heritage.

One of its newer additions to that collection is the Zenith Pilot Type 20 Chronograph Extra Special. Sporting a bronze case with a matte navy blue dial, the piece is also fitted with a rugged blue oily nubuck leather strap. Accentuated with features like sharp numerals and an oversized screw-down crown that is essential to pilot timepieces, it is a striking chronograph that most definitely lives up to its extra special name.

Hasami-Mug-Gear-Patrol-Lead-Full

Hasami Block Coffee Mug
Save 15%: Designed and made in Japan, Hasami’s porcelain kitchen goods are useful, high-quality and, most obviously, completely drool-worthy.

Though, as anyone who might have encountered its wares online before knows, they rightfully do not come cheap. Hence the relevance of a simple $5 off its plain white, glossy coffee mug. The simple, conical-based mug is microwave and dishwasher safe, has a big, angular handle for a solid two-finger grip and, most importantly, stacks very neatly.

The Hasami Block Mug in white is on sale today at Need Supply. — Will Price

Cosm-Chair-Deal-Gear-Patrol-Lead-Full

Herman Miller Cosm Office Chair
Save 15%The Cosm chair — which comes in low, mid and high back options — is the most ergonomically-advanced office chair ever created. That is to say it requires almost no manual input and the Herman Miller’s first pasively ergonomic office seating.

Among the innovations found in the chair (which are many), Herman Miller’s design team and Studio 7.5, the principal designers of the chair, are most proud of solving one simple-sounding, vexing issue with all other chairs of its kind — the chair will automatically adjust tension to any person seated in the chair, and does not rely on raising and lowering the seat in doing so. This is the work of something dubbed “Auto-Harmonic Tilt” and all you really need to know is all other passively-ergonomic chairs (until Cosm) raised the seated person’s legs to compensate for any reclining at all. This lifts the legs off the ground and results in a bevy of weird ergonomics headaches.

Listed at 15 percent off today and starting at $760, all sizes of the Cosm chair (which isn’t even available through Herman Miller’s own site yet) are available for purchase today. Note that the black colorway is the only currently in-stock, while the other colorways are listed to ship within three to five weeks. — Will Price

Topo Designs Backpacks & More
Save up to 50%: Topo Designs started when its founder, Jedd Rose, sat down at his sewing machine to build a backpack. Now it’s a fondly-recognized outdoor brand that produces a full collection of technical apparel and accessories in addition to its bags, all with an identifiable blend of contemporary-retro styling. That also comes from Rose, who has a history in art and design and fondly recalls a childhood spent exploring the wilderness of Wyoming with gear hand-me-downs received from his parents. Rose’s experience is infused in all of the brand’s creations, from the fan-favorite, hike-worthy Klettersack to its take on the briefcase; all of these, and more are currently on sale at Huckberry for up to 50 percent off. — Tanner Bowden

Fordged-Steel-Skillet-gear-patrol-full-lead

Blanc Creatives Skillet
Save 25%Out of Charlottesville, Virginia, Blanc Creatives doesn’t deal in your run-of-the-mill cookware. The carbon steel skillets that made its name are machine-punched then worked into shape via hammer and anvil, and they typically come at a premium. Today, though, the 13-inch skillet (the largest of Blanc’s skillet options) is discounted lower than we’ve ever seen it — 25 percent off, good for $70 off.

Don’t worry if you’ve never heard of or cooked on carbon steel — most other people haven’t either. In short, this is the gist: it cooks like cast-iron cookware, but it’s more durable, lighter and more capable of becoming a true non-stick surface (a bit more on that here).

Blanc Creatives’ 13-inch skillet is $70 off on Kauffmann Mercantile right now. — Will Price
