P.F. FlyersP.F. Flyers Field Spec Grounder
Founded in 1937 by B.F. Goodrich (yes, the tire company), P.F. Flyers has been an iconic piece of Americana for generations. And while the brand’s most classic offerings, like the sneakers featured in The Sandlot, get all the glory, the brand has plenty of other spectacular offerings. Take the brand’s Field Spec Grounder, for instance, which takes the brand’s military-inspired sneaker and streamlines it even further. Its reinforced suede upper pairs beautifully with a deep-treaded wraparound gum sole, offering gritty mid-century tactical vibes.
SencutSencut Stratex
If you think Civivi makes great-looking affordable knives, check out its even-more wallet-friendly brother under the We Knife umbrella, Sencut. Available in three variants, the Stratex is just its latest compelling and capable $50 release, which like many others leans on budget materials but does not sacrifice aesthetics. Here you get a 3.17-inch drop-point blade made of 9Cr18MoV steel, deploying out of a Guibourtia wood handle via the rear flipper or ambidextrous thumb studs. A caged ceramic ball bearing ensures smooth action while a liner lock holds that blade steady when it’s time to work.
LegoLego The Goonies Set
Lego excites the inner child of grown-ups all over the world with The Goonies pirate ship set. Based on the 1985 movie, this 2,912-piece set recreates the hidden pirate ship that hosted some of the film’s most iconic scenes. It comes with 11 figures, including the titular Goonies squad, the villains and — of course — Sloth.
Hyundai USAHyundai IONIQ 9 Off-Road Concept
Family SUVs aren’t typically the kind of vehicles that first come to mine when thinking of overlanding. But Hyundai wants to change that. The Korean automaker just revealed its IONIQ 9-based Off-Road Concept. The company essentially took its latest all-electric 422-horsepower three-row midsizer and teamed up with Jeremiah Burton and Zach Jobe of BigTime, who then threw a whole bunch of rad all-terrain-centric modifications to it, all to showcase the platform’s potential.
