If you like off-road pickup trucks (or frequent Gear Patrol’s Motoring page), you've no doubt heard of the 1500 TRX — Ram’s new desert-racing-inspired super-truck that’s ready to take on the Ford F-150 Raptor. It has a 702-horsepower Hellcat V8 engine, among other features, and a price tag that can approach $100,000. It will be the market’s most capable performance truck when it goes on sale later this year.

That said, it’s possible that you like the idea of the Ram TRX, but are still on the fence. Perhaps the stock version is not quite extreme, exclusive, expensive and powerful enough for your tastes. Well, fret not — because the famed tuners at Hennessey Performance have you covered with their new Mammoth 6x6 truck build.

As the name might clue you in about, the Mammoth 6x6 is an extended, three-axle, six-wheel version of Ram’s new super-truck. Ram uses a Hellcat V8? That’s cute. Hennessey’s version will use Dodge’s 7.0-liter Hellephant crate engine, tuned up to 1,200 hp from its usual 1,000-hp output. It will also get a bespoke interior, an off-road suspension upgrade, upgraded front, and rear bumpers, and upgraded LED lights.

How much will this Hellephantic beast from Hennessey cost? The company says the build will run you $500,000, more expensive than any of their previous super-truck creations. (That price does include the base Ram TRX pickup, though.)

If you want one, you'll have to act fast. Hennessey will only build three of these trucks. They're taking orders by phone starting at 1:00 pm EDT on Friday.
