Editor’s Note: We love scouring the internet for reasons to spend money we don’t have on cars we daydream about owning, and these are our picks this week. All prices listed are bid amounts at the time of publishing.
There might just be a different wagon for every occasion — luxury wagons, sports wagons, hot rod wagons and wagons for the day-to-day living — yet they still have yet to strike a chord with the majority of car buyers. They’re undoubtedly practical, stylish and sometimes prepped for performance — so it’s hard not love a good wagon when they come along. And many have come along.
2004 Audi S4 Avant
What we like: There’s nothing better than a practical wagon with a little extra grunt. The two mid-length, catless headers replacing the stock exhaust manifold and downpipes are a welcome modification; how else is that 4.2-liter V8 supposed to sing?
From the seller: This 2004 Audi S4 Avant 6-speed is finished in Nogaro Blue Pearl Effect with a Black/Blue interior. An accompanying notice from Audi America confirms this is 1-of-30 U.S.-delivered cars with this equipment and color combination for 2004.

1966 Volvo 122S Wagon
What we like: If you want simple, elegant ’60s Swedish styling that’s been restored to award-winning levels, look no further.
From the seller: The seller is a lifelong Volvo enthusiast and collector who purchased the car 3K miles ago in 2014. A multi-year restoration effort was undertaken about 10,000 miles ago by a previous owner, with work including a full repaint in light blue, an engine rebuild, installation of an overdrive transmission, refurbished interior, and refreshed suspension.

1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Limited
What we like: There’s no denying the Grand Wagoneer’s place in the SUV hall of fame. And at $24,900 (about the price of a brand new Jeep Wrangler), this is a steal.
From the seller: This refined yet rugged and incredibly stylish Jeep Grand Wagoneer Limited is finished in Sand Metallic with sand interior and has power windows, smooth shifting transmission and a big AMC 360 V8. It’s obvious this woody has lived an easy life! She is in great shape, no rust and very clean from top to bottom.

2013 Mercedes Benz E 350 Wagon
What we like: As far as modern wagons go, the E-Class may just be the standard barer when it comes to luxury. Not to mention, it even has a fold-down, rear-facing seat in the trunk — calling card of a proper wagon.

2014 Cadillac CTS V-Wagon
What we like: There’s no denying the future collectability of the CTS-V Wagon. It didn’t sell that well originally, but it’s so desirable now, the price has barely dropped from its MSRP. Don’t pick this wagon up just to store it away with the hopes of making money though — it’s certainly special, but it needs to be driven and enjoyed.
From the seller: There were only 509 manual transmission wagons built between 2011-2014. The car is 100 perfent stock with the exception of 3M ceramic window tint and a front splitter to replace the plastic OEM air dam pieces. Other than that, it is exactly as it rolled off of the showroom floor.
