The Nike Vomero has been a staple of the brand’s road-running lineup for nearly two decades, and the Nike Vomero 18 represents the latest — and arguably most refined — iteration yet.
Built around a dual-density midsole — a thin layer of ZoomX foam stacked atop a thick ReactX base and a wider, more stable platform than its predecessor, the Vomero 18 sits in that productive middle ground between daily trainer and long-run workhorse.

As we noted when the Vomero 18 launched, Nike didn’t reinvent the shoe so much as tighten everything that made the 17 worth buying. The result is a runner that rewards mileage without punishing your legs.
And right now, some of the best colorways of the shoe are suddenly on sale through both Nike directly and Zappos.

Why it’s worth considering

The Vomero 18’s dual-density midsole — a thin ZoomX top layer over a thick ReactX base — delivers a noticeably plusher ride than the ZoomX-and-Cushlon setup in the Vomero 17.
The upper uses a dual-layer mesh that manages breathability without sacrificing structure around the midfoot. And the widened heel geometry means less lateral wobble on tired legs, which matters most in miles 10 through 14 of a long run.
