Size and luxury don’t always correlate with each other.

When most people think of RVs, or recreational vehicles in the conventional sense of motorhomes, those big, bulky, bus-like campers typically come to mind. But companies like Bürstner are looking to change that perception.

The German manufacturer of small RVs just came out with its latest concoction. It’s called the Signature RMT Series and it joins the company’s growing line of compact RVs, all to show that luxury doesn’t always correlate with square footage.

Proof that size doesn’t always matter

It’s quite natural to equate ginormous mass and size as a way to project opulence and luxury. Which is particularly true in the RV and motorhome space. The bigger your RV is, the more luxurious it tends to be. And, more expensive.

But Bürstner clearly shows that ginormous proportions aren’t all that. Especially with its latest Signature RMT Series.

Rather than starting life as some crazy Prevost coach bus or similar, the Signature RMT begins as your average Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van. Then, Bürstner hacks of the rear end aft of the front doors, squares out the body with custom-shaped fiberglass, and then equips the interior with a level of modernity and lavishness befitting for a yacht.

Smart and clever packaging

Once can see the very upscale ambiance by its very contemporary and European-esque styling on the interior. What with its wood paneling, clean and neatly-shaped mineral countertops and felt-lined cabinets.

But providing warmth and comfort aren’t the only highlights. Clever space-efficient storage and layouts are, as well.

For instance, Bürstner offers a modular premium kitchenette system, complete with everything including the sink. One side houses a dual-electric (gas is optional) burner ranger, while the fridge and freezer combo reside below with pull-out drawer style doors.

The company also offers flexible arrangements for the sleeping quarters. One can opt for either dual twin-beds in the master bedroom area, or one single queen (for those who choose the slightly loner version of the Signature RMT).

There’s also even an option for a compact drop-down bed just behind the front seats.

Additionally, Bürstner also designed and engineered the interior to feature a flexible dedicated bathroom space. By simply sliding one of the interior’s main dividing walls, one can open up and close off a dedicated stand-up area for the wet bath and shower.

Attention to detail is also a highlight for the Bürstner Signature SMT, as seen with its high-end mineral countertops.

And there’s even a regular-sized throne for when it’s time to perform nature’s business.

Availability and pricing

Although Bürstner doesn’t have any dedicated US-based dealers, buyers from all over the world can opt-in for its European delivery services. But if buyers also choose to purchase a motorhome from the German based-company, they can also choose to import the RV as long as they’re federally compliant.

Pricing starts at €93,999 or roughly the equivalent of around $107,175 with today’s conversion rates.
