Do you dream of camping every weekend with your S.O., but lack a towing-capable vehicle? Until now, you’d have to stuff your car full of stuff, including a bulky tent, or invest in a larger rig.

Now, adventurers short on space and towing capacity no longer have to compromise.

A compact, dark-colored camper trailer with a fabric cover and transparent windows is parked near a body of water at sunset. A person sits in a folding chair facing the water, enjoying the view of the calm water and distant mountains under a sky with warm orange and yellow hues.
Now that is an idyllic setup.

That’s thanks to the Urbanoid Booba, a pint-sized pop-up tent that only weighs 530 pounds, making it easily towable by almost any vehicle — even an electric car.

Intrigued? I bet you are. Here’s everything you need to know about this adorable, ultra-light towable tent.

Small but mighty

Urbanoid developed its small tent trailer so that adventurous urbanites can spontaneously hit the road without fuss. The Booba looks like an oversized piece of luggage and a car had a baby, thanks to its clear automotive design influence and ribbed clamshell top.

The clamshell design and included pump allow for the Booba to be set up within minutes, and its minimal footprint make it easy to stow and tow.

Unlike the heavy weight of traditional teardrop trailers, the Booba is just 530 pounds, but still offers sleeping space for two and enough seating for a family of four.

Inside, there are three bright red cushions—two rectangular ones on each side and one square one in the center—placed on a light gray floor. At the far end, a smaller black tent with an open entrance is set up inside the larger tent. A small black table is visible in the foreground. Outside the windows, a stone wall and greenery can be seen.
Just enough space for two adults to stretch out.

The Booba is just under 11 feet long from tip to tail. Its telescoping tow bar can be extended for tent setup and minimized for tight city streets. The light and strong fiber-composite shell, meanwhile, helps keep the aesthetic clean and minimal.

When it’s all packed up, the Booba totally looks like a hard-shell suitcase.

The interior of the Booba follows the classic trailer format, with a wraparound couch, a collapsible dining table (which can be stowed under one of the bench compartments when not in use) and a respectable sleeping area. The minimal disc-spring support system under the mattress offers enhanced comfort without adding unnecessary weight.

Classic design, miniaturized

The Booba comes in two configurations: the Mezza and the Pro. The Mezza is the base model, and offers the setup described above along with 12V LED interior lighting, a power bank and a shore power hookup.

A small white car is driving on a narrow mountain road with a rocky hillside on one side and a stone retaining wall with a metal guardrail on the other. The car is towing a compact, modern trailer with a brown and gray top, and a bicycle is mounted on a rack attached to the trailer. The road is paved and appears to be in a remote, natural area.
With the Booba, hitting the open road has never been easier or more streamlined.

The Pro model offers more features, including an electric pump (as opposed to the Mezza’s hand pump,) two Ecoflow River 3 power stations, a 45-liter water tank and an outdoor shower.

The Pro also offers three illuminated compartments with built-in motion sensors.

Both models will be available in multiple color configurations.

The design of the Booba pays homage to traveling in a classic roadster, so Urbanoid included two exhaust silencers — but these function as a connection for shore power and as an outdoor shore, respectively.

A compact, black, three-wheeled vehicle is parked vertically against a wall in a concrete garage. The vehicle's underside, including its frame, tires, and mechanical components, is visible. A fluorescent light fixture is mounted on the ceiling above the vehicle, and an orange pipe runs vertically along the right wall. The garage has a utilitarian, industrial appearance with plain concrete walls and floor.
When you’re not camping, tuck the Booba away with ease.

In an effort to make the Booba even more convenient for city living, Urbanoid developed an optional metal rocker frame that can stow the pop-up tent vertically, saving precious garage space.

When it’s stored vertically, the Booba is only 46 inches deep and stands 7.5 feet tall.

Availability and pricing

Unlike other concept trailers we’ve seen, the Booba is actively in development, and deliveries are set to begin in early 2026.

Optional upgrades for the Booba will include the aforementioned storage stand, a bicycle rack, barbecue rack, awning, shower cabin, cushion set and cover accessories.

The Urbanoid Booba will be available via a retail network and directly on the brand’s site, with the base model Mezza starting at $12,650 and the Pro starting at $15,600.
