Initiates to the notion of EDC — the acronym stands for "everyday carry" and refers to the items you have on-hand throughout the day — might be overwhelmed by a compulsion to fill their pockets with loads of stuff each morning. But EDC is equal parts efficiency and preparedness; it's less about how much you have and more about how useful everything is.
A good starting point is the collection of items you already have, and how you might upgrade them. Your wallet is likely the first thing to consider. Paring it down might feel like self-amputation, but chances are many of its contents are unnecessary. If you want to give it a shot, aim for hyper-minimalism and see how it goes.
