The Sony WH-1000XM2 were the first noise-canceling headphones that really had people questioning: are these better the Bose? They had more features and had just as good noise canceling skills. Plus, most people agreed that they sounded better. (The only thing that Bose QC35 II headphones over the WH-1000XM2’s was the comfort.) Now, the WH-1000XM2’s are about two years, and you probably know that Sony recently released their successor, the WH-1000XM3, which are basically the best noise-canceling headphones money can buy. But the WH-1000XM2 headphones remain terrific headphones, especially if you haven’t made the transition to USB-C.

Most retailers still sell Sony’s WH-1000XM2 headphones for $348 — like on Amazon — which is actually crazy considering Sony’s WH-1000XM3 headphones are the exact same price. That said, good deals on the WH-1000XM2 headphones are becoming more common. For example, one of the best deals we’ve seen is running right now on eBay — its selling WH-1000XM2 headphones for $180, which is almost half off. It should be noted that these are “manufacturer refurbished” models, but eBay has an excellent 30-day returns policy if you have any issues. Both black and silver models are available.
