A smartwatch has to be able to monitor your everyday activity, notify you of calls, texts and Instagram DMs, and still tell time. The Garmin Vivoactive 3 does all of these things and has thousands of free watch faces. Now you can also pay with your watch, so you can leave your wallet at home while you’re on runs.
From a fitness standpoint, there are 15 preloaded GPS and indoor sports apps so you can track calories and exercise minutes on runs, bike rides and in the pool. This watch also helps you figure out how you handle stress thanks to VO2 max testing. The battery will last up to seven days and up to 13 hours in GPS mode — enough to walk a full marathon. There are a variety of color options, but the white with stainless hardware is the lowest price we’ve seen.
