Right now, Best Buy is selling the Apple HomePod for $100 off. The deal applies to both space gray and white models. It’s the cheapest the smart speaker has been since Black Friday.

Obviously, there are plenty of upsides to getting a HomePod. When it comes to music, it’s easily the smartest smart speaker. You can ask it really specific questions about certain songs, albums or artists, such as, “Who played drums on this song?” And in terms of sound quality, the HomePod is decked out with some seriously impressive guts (seven individually-amplified horn tweeters and a high excursion top-firing woofer), not to mention sophisticated technology that optimizes its audio for the exact location it’s playing from. Also, you can configure two in a stereo pair, or pair them with other AirPlay 2 speakers in a multiroom system.

Now, a word of warning: the HomePod only works well with Apple Music, so better to think twice if you’re not a premium subscriber. Also, the HomePod is designed to integrate intimately with your iPhone — you can ask Siri to call someone or read your latest emails out loud. For this reason, you want to make sure that if you’re living with people, you should trust them. (Although you can adjust these privacy settings at any time.)
