Nintendo released the NES Classic Edition, a miniature version of the NES console from 1985, in 2016 and at that time it was nearly impossible to find – demand was too high. Fast forward several years and it’s a little easier to buy, although for an uptick charge. Listed as $60 on Nintendo’s website, but in order to buy an NES Classic Edition you have to order from a third-party seller like Amazon, which is currently selling models for $80.

For a little bit of a deal, however, check out eBay: it’s selling refurbished (by Nintendo) models for just $50. That’s $30 cheaper than what they’re going for on Amazon.

As a reminder, the appeal of the NES Classic Edition is pretty straightforward. The miniature retro console is decked out with all the bells and whistles to easily work with any modern TV. There’s an HDMI cable, an AC adapter and an NES Classic Controller. It also comes with 30 built-in games, many of which are classics: Kirby’s Adventure, Pac-Man, Metroid, Super Mario Bros. (I, II, III) and The Legend of Zelda.
