Timex’s affordable quartz offerings are probably responsible for converting more millennials into watch nerds than any other brand’s timepieces. Plentiful, cheap and attractive, watches such as the Expedition series are great first forays into the watch world, and that’s not even to speak of the brand’s awesome, $200 Marlin mechanical timepieces.
Right now you can grab Timex Men’s Expedition Ranger Watch in one of three iterations for between $40 and $47, depending on the model (a blue-dial version is available on a brown leather strap for $40, while a grey-dial version ships on a matching bracelet for $43, and a black-dial version ships on a matching bracelet for $47).
All three versions feature an identical 43mm steel case with 50m of water resistance (good for the field, but not for diving), an analog quartz movement with date display and a unidirectional count-up bezel. The highly legible dials also feature sword hands and Indiglo illumination for low-light visibility.
