Save $74 Kennedy Manufacturing is a very serious maker of toolboxes. Its founders — Charles and Howard Kennedy — invented metal toolboxes. One-hundred-and-seven years ago, the brothers weren’t the first to make them in America or the first to use some specific type of metal, they were the first to make a metal toolbox.
And, as it turns out, the first ever metal toolbox is still considered one of the best ever. Since the invention, the Kennedy brothers’ metal toolboxes and storage equipment has garnered popularity in the machinist and shop manager community for the use of heavy 20-gauge steel and attention to details like tool cushioning, elimination of sharp edges and movable section dividers. Audio-Technica LP120 Turntable
Save $69 (23%): Even though it’s a few years old, the Audio-Technica LP120 is still a solid entry-level turntable for anybody looking to breath new life in their old records. It comes with a built-in preamp, so all you need is to pair it with some passive or powered bookshelf speakers. (You’ll need some records too, of course!) It plays quietly, so you don’t need to worry about a loud motor interfering with your tunes. And the LP120 has an old-school look to it, not too dissimilar to the classic Technics SL-1200MK2, which many vinyl enthusiasts will love. The other convenient thing about the LP120 is that its a USB record player, meaning it can digitize your LPs. This way, in the case that you aren’t near you turntable, you can still listen to the same high-quality audio if you’re on your phone or on your computer.

Wolverine Boots
Save up to 61%:If you’ve been meaning to invest in a new pair of boots but haven’t found the right pair, Nordstrom Rack is currently making a compelling case for Wolverine. The retailer is now offering well over 50 percent on a bunch of boots from the Michigan-based brand. Choose from American-made lace-up and Chelsea styles including the iconic 1000 Mile Evans boot and the go-anywhere 1000 Mile Cromwell Chelsea boot. Seiko 5 SNZG
Save $145: If you tend to gravitate toward smaller watches, then the 37mm Seiko 5 SNK series is a great, affordable field watch. However, if you’re looking for something on the larger side, then the SNZG, which features a 42mm case, is probably a better bet. And the good news is that you can pick one up for $105 right now on Massdrop.

The SNZG features the automatic 7S36C 23-jewel movement with day-date complication and 41-hour power reserve, Hardlex crystal and display caseback, 100m of water resistance, lumed baton hands, and a red-tipped seconds hand. Marpac Dohm Classic
Save 37% Since 1962, Marpac’s entire purpose has been rather singular: making people sleep better. The Dohm white noise generator is its most known, recommended and, arguably, most effective product.

KEF Q150 Bookshelf Speakers
Save $250: KEF released its Q150 bookshelf speakers ($550) last year, in 2017, and they’re the next-evolution of the companies revered Q100 bookshelf speakers ($550). There are a couple big differences. The bass port has been moved to the back of the Q150s and their cabinet has a new rugged finish to help minimize distortion. Also, the new speakers now have the same Uni-Q driver array as the company’s high-end LS50 ($999) and LS50 Wireless ($1,999) speaker systems. As for sound, that’s going to make these really dynamic bookshelf speakers with a broad soundstage, rich midrange and highs, as well as punchy bass. The bottom line is that the KEF Q150 are really nice passive bookshelf speakers, especially for the price. And now Amazon is offering them for almost half off. The normally $550 bookshelf speakers are going for just $300 – that’s $250 off.

Otterbox Venture Cooler Sale
Save 15%:Otterbox is known for its success in protecting your phone from drops. Then the brand launched coolers. Its rugged coolers are just as intense as its dry boxes and phone cases. Last summer, Otterbox introduced its first cooler and proved its background in tech protection works just as great for cooler making. Each Venture cooler features an integrated injection-molding and high-grade cooling technologies. The anti-slip rubber feet stay put on long car rides and rickety platforms. Save $50: The Bose QuietComfort 35 IIs are some of the best wireless, noise-canceling headphones you can buy. Obviously, with the wireless noise-canceling headphone market heating up these days, there’s stiff competition from the likes of Sony, Bowers & Wilkins and Sennheiser, amongst others, but the Bose QuietComfort 35 IIs are truly the lightest, most comfortable and most travel-friendly of any of them. And they have excellent noise-canceling abilities and sound damn good, too. Anova Culinary Nano Sous Vide
Save $35 The sous vide tool is not deserving of its present condition. Confined for most of its life to the kitchens of restaurants and the odd gear head, it’s been labeled a tool with too few uses for the price. This isn’t really true.

For one, great and affordable sous vide circulators exist — just look at Anova Culinary’s Nova tool, which is the first legitimately good sous vide tool to retail under $100 (and is currently on sale for an all-time low price of $64).

Seiko 5 SNKD99K1
Save $98: Alright, we’ve got another one for you. As you likely already know, Seiko makes some of our favorite affordable mechanical watches, but the Seiko 5 line in particular holds a special place in our hearts here at Gear Patrol. Why, you might ask? Because they’re cheap, that’s why — and Seiko has been making them for decades, which means there are myriad dial designs to choose from on both the vintage side as well as the modern side.

This particular 5 SNKD99K1 is a particularly cool one for a few reasons: for one thing, you get a perfectly sized 37mm stainless steel case and a day-date display in both English and Spanish (why is this cool? Because you can brush up on your Spanish by looking at your wrist, that’s why!). You also get a beautiful blue dial, the Seiko 7S26 21-jewel automatic movement, 50m of water resistance, a mineral crystal, a display case back, a fixed bezel and a stainless steel bracelet. The only weird thing I should warn you about is that you can’t easily swap the bracelet out — it’s got a semi-integrated design in which the lug width is effectively reduced to roughly 10mm, so good luck finding a 10mm strap to fit in there.

If you like the steel bracelet, however, for $77 this Seiko 5 is sort of a no-brainer. — Oren Hartov

Moccamaster Coffee Maker
Save 20% Born more than a half-century ago, Technivorm’s Moccamaster has remained among the coffee elite from its earliest days to the present.

The machines gained notoriety early on for the use of copper tubing in its water heating cycle, a far better heat conductor than steel in any form. The Moccamaster has also been made and tested by hand in the Netherlands from the start, and to this day is still fully disassemblable — a rare trait that makes cleaning and upkeep much simpler.

Today on Amazon, the most popular Moccamaster model is at its lowest price ever on Amazon today — down from its $309 regular price to $247. This model uses a large steel carafe (it comes with a twist top to keep brewed coffee hot) but doesn’t have a hot plate. Even compared to the speediest coffee makers on the market nowadays, it’s one of the fastest (Breville’s Precision Brewer is a touch quicker). Make sure to get matching filters.

Klipsch RP-160M Reference Premiere Monitor Speakers
Save $250: The Klipsch RP-160M are high-end monitor speakers in the company’s Reference Premiere line. The most striking thing about them is the large gold Cerametallic woofer in the center of each speaker, which allows them to deliver accurate midrange and punchy bass. It should be noted that these are powerful audiophile-grade speakers, which the experts at Sound Vision suggest that they “require some space to perform optimally – a bit too big for a bookshelf in other words.” That said, they’ve rated them really highly – 94/100 – and Crutchfield also given them 5/5 stars. Normally $549, you can buy them from World Wide Stereo for just $299 – that’s way cheaper than you’ll find them anywhere else. On the website, the speakers are already discounted to $439 for the holidays, but if you type in the promo code CYBER it’ll drop them down to $299.

Staub Dutch Oven
Save $185 Though frustratingly expensive, Staub Dutch ovens are among the most coveted in the cooking world. From a craftsmanship, prestige and performance perspective, the pots are on-par (if not better, for some people) than those made by Le Creuset.

More specifically, Staub’s ovens hold heat (they’re slightly heavier) and moisture (the lid is a significantly tighter fit) better than Le Creuset, which are good traits for stew and soup season, as consistent heat and moisture retention are critical to the finished dish’s taste.

Now through December, Food52 is offering Staub’s 4-quart, $284 oven for just $99. Available in matte black, cherry, turquoise or turmeric, the 4-quart is slightly smaller than the traditional 5.5- to 6-quart oven, but there’s still plenty of room for two or three people.
