It seems like the third time’s a charm for New Balance. The Fresh Foam Vongo, released this month, is in its third iteration, and is here to solve any runner’s stability qualms on the road, gym or track. If you have flexible arches but tend to over-pronate, the firm foam underfoot provides much-needed support. The dual-colored outsole compound features a groove down the middle of the shoe to help address lateral impact.

While this sneaker isn’t the be all, end all of stability kicks, if you need added support on your daily run, the combination of the popular Fresh Foam cushioning with a protective synthetic mesh upper delivers a lightweight sneaker that still has some give. The intense-looking midsole doesn’t take away all your feel underfoot.

Details-wise, the sneaker is lighter than the V2 version, weighing in at 10.5-ounces, compared to 11.6-ounces. The four-millimeter offset stays the same from previous versions. The new V3 aims to increase the already raved about comfort with less weight, and the all-white upper makes for a sleek look on a smooth sneaker.
