No.One, a small brand from California, crafts boutique sneakers, dress shoes and, now, hiking boots. Each piece screams luxury, with shoes starting at $575 and prices going skyward. These Gamma boots are $850, and despite, this absurd price for hiking boots, we have to admit that these hikers look pretty great compared to the darker, more technical hiking boots that we tend to see. If you’re looking for a pair of hiking boots to get you up Mt. Kilimanjaro or Mt. Washington, it’s probably not these, but you can check out our list of the Best Hiking Boots of 2018 here.
No.One found its niche with limited edition collections that are available on No-One.La, for about two weeks in a handful of sizes. High-tech fabrics molded into one-of-a-kind pieces by makers in Venice Beach make these pricey, so so they start to look like a rent payment as opposed to a sneaker purchase. The latest drop is the Gamma, a black and tan hiking boot with an all-leather upper and Vibram outsole — all for a price that makes us think these shoes should last forever.
Each pair comes with interchangeable laces, so you can decide if you’re more of a red- or teal-shoe-lace lace kind of guy. The all-weather British Nubuck leather pairs with an Italian vegetable-tanned rear heel counter and pull tab for a high-quality feel. Inside you’ll find French Plongé leather that’s handcrafted to fit like a glove. To ensure that these do last forever, we suggest you only climb metaphorical mountains. The shoes are currently only available in limited sizes.
