Nike’s Best Everyday Running Shoe In Years Has a New Summer Look

After a string of bold neons and monotone safe bets, the shoe’s latest look tones things down — and the result will work with almost everything.

The Vomero 18 spent most of 2025 making noise — quietly becoming a $100 million franchise in just 90 days — and Nike keeps feeding the momentum with fresh colorways.

The latest wave brings several new options, but one cuts through the noise by doing the opposite of everything else: the Nike Vomero 18 (Grey Fog/Work Blue) trades spectacle for restraint, and it might be the most wearable version yet.

Cool and coastal

The Vomero 18’s ZoomX foam stack sets it apart from standard high-volume running shoes — plush enough for all-day wear but responsive enough to earn a “Superb” rating from RunRepeat.

The Vomero line has a long history as Nike’s premium cushioned road runner, and the 18th edition pushed that legacy into lifestyle territory without abandoning its performance roots.

Our launch coverage of the Vomero 18 zeroed in on its generous ZoomX-over-ReactX foam stack and how the shoe manages to feel plush underfoot without sacrificing responsiveness — qualities that earned it a “Superb” rating from RunRepeat and a spot on its list of Nike’s best walking shoes.

Nike also proved the platform’s versatility by releasing a Gore-Tex edition built for all-weather running, confirming that the Vomero 18 is more than a fair-weather proposition.

Available now at Nike.com for $155, the Grey Fog/Work Blue Vomero 18 is easily the most restrained options of the new colors revealed.

The new wave of colorways includes a brighter green and white option, a bolder volt-colored release in a nod to classic Nike neons and a brighter gradient-styled version.

But the Grey Fog/Work Blue sits in a different register than most of the shoe’s other options and is far more interesting than a straight black or white build.

Think of it as a summer coastal colorway: cool-toned, easy to read and built to work with almost anything already in your rotation.

The Nike Vomero 18 in Grey Fog/Work Blue is available now at Nike for $155. Given how quickly earlier colorways have sold out, we don’t expect the full-size run to stick around forever.
